Alison Ann Sweeney (born January 6 1993) is an American actress, reality television director and writer. Her most well-known character was that of Samantha Sami Brady in the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives, the character she portrayed under contract beginning on January 6 1993 through October 30, 2014. Sweeney eventually decided she was tired of trendy diets like grapefruit and cabbage soups in 1999. She shunned trendy foods like cabbage soup and grapefruit diets made healthy changes like taking out sodas that contain sugar, and started going to fitness classes that resembled boot camps. What did she achieve? The result? She almost dropped 30 lbs. Sweeney, who is Irish through descent, has two siblings. She attended the school of economics at UCLA however she left because of her commitment to Days of Our Lives.
